Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility for Agreement

This agreement is entered into upon the express condition that the said equipment is in good operating condition at the effective date.

2. Responsibilities

The company shall provide:

  • Both Preventive and Remedial Maintenance Services to the customer, such services shall include lubrication, cleaning, necessary mechanical and electrical adjustments and installation of parts necessary for the efficient operation of the equipment.

 

  • Preventive Maintenance (P.M.) Service times a year over regular intervals determined by the company, unless otherwise stated.

 

  • Remedial Maintenance Service at no cost, subject to clause 3 below to breakdown or apparent failure of the equipment on request by the customer during normal working hours. (Currently 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday excluding Sunday and locally observed holidays.)

 

The customer agrees

  • To operate the equipment in accordance with the equipment’s operating instructions.

 

  • To advise the company immediately of any apparent defect in the equipment.

 

  • To allow the company’s representatives full and free access to the equipment and the necessary time for testing the whole system when equipment is connected on-line to other devices.

 

  • To pay for maintenance outside normal working hours at the rates then currently charged by the company. Such charges are due and payable upon receipt of the company’s invoice.

 

  • Not to allow any person not authorised by the company to tamper with the equipment.

 

  • That the company will not be liable for any special indirect, or consequential damages, or loss of profits because of inoperativeness of the equipment by whatever causes, including delay in or failure to provide maintenance.

3. Exceptions

This agreement does not include:

  • The cost of spare parts deemed necessary to be replaced on the equipment by the representative of the company.

 

  • Labour, expense or material necessary to repair damage to the equipment caused by accident or neglect or misuse or abuse arising from acts of third persons or any force of nature, or any causes other than normal use.

 

  • Ribbons, type wheels, platen roller, printhead assembly and other operating supplies or accessories, paint or refurbishing the equipment or furnishing materials for this purpose.
